·What's New in ACGC
We are delighted to welcome back Gisella Scalia for her fourth year as Professional Resource Person for ACGC, Anglophone Sector. Gisella has been an outstanding advocate for the creation of English-language resources and has worked closely with the ACGC Community of Practice (CoP) to explain and clarify the content and develop Learning Situations (LS).
Implementation in Sec. IV and V has been postponed to 2021-22 due to COVID. However, as of this school year, the ACGC should be at full implementation in all schools in Grades 5 and 6 and Sec. I-III.
Some LS have been translated and posted on the Vibe site, while members of the CoP have created several in English which will be posted this Fall. CoP teams continue to develop more LS to cover all of the ACGCs.
Other English resources on Vibe include a template for writing LS, record-keeping tools akin to graphic organizers, updated implementation guides, and frequently asked questions. As well, all ACGC LS and materials in English are available on the LEARN site (ACGC Elementary, Secondary Cycle One, Secondary Cycle Two).
In spite of the challenges caused by COVID-19, this will be an exciting year for the implementation of ACGC, as it is rolled out to even more students.
