September held a unique surprise for students returning to seven schools of the English Montreal School Board (EMSB). Travis Hall, Career Development Consultant at EMSB, reports that after installation and a successful series of workshops last year, the beehives set up in the spring were now stacked high with boxes filled with frames of honey.

Congratulations to the Mecatina School students, teachers, and the village of La Tabatière in the Littoral School Board for persevering with their goal to win the OSEntreprendre contest. The student project, GrEau, which is a hydroponic green vegetable growing operation, was a 2016 grand prize winner in OSEntreprendre.
GOAL encourages students to explore their environment and discover the resources available to them. Sometimes those resources are staring us in the face—like the old-but-recently-restored greenhouse attached to Rosemount High School that has become a source of student learning, pride and self-discovery.
