The staff at Cinéma Cartier understand the aspirations of students in the adapted learning “Challenges” program at Québec High School and have offered a meaningful and fulfilling stage (work placement) to Dylan Brown, who has impressed them with his work ethic and constant improvement. They always have a great day when Dylan comes to work.

Care Packages, Dog Treats and a New Self-esteem

Two sets of Western Québec students rallied around separate social entrepreneurship ventures, as they test piloted The Learning Partnership’s “Entrepreneurial Adventure” program. By persevering and encouraging each other, the students succeeded in helping other at-risk members of their community—both human and animal.

GOAL Goes to the Dogs

As part of their curriculum, students in Riverdale High School’s CFER program operate an e-waste recycling business. In converting an old TV console into a funky new dog bed, they used competencies learned through art, entrepreneurship and their workshop to raise money for a local organization that helps canines in need.
