Resources: The Connections Lab

The McGill Connections Lab works towards bridging the gap between research and practice.
According to their website:

The Connections Lab is committed to improving the educational and psychological well-being of children and adolescents at-risk for academic problems. The goal is to provide seamless research-to-practice content and processes for school psychologists and teachers. We strive to achieve our objective by developing and evaluating innovative educational practices and the implementation of innovation in classrooms.

On their website they have links to their latest research, media publications and lesson plans (in English and French!) for educators on emotional regulation, peer relationships and independent learning. According to The Connections Lab, these lesson plans “have been demonstrated to improve completion of assignment, reduce behavior problems, and improve homework completion.”
