In between professional development sessions with Quebec educators, Peter Liljedahl carved out some time to chat about his amazing book “Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics”. A thoughtful conversation about how to engage more learners into really thinking about math 🧮 Our conversation journeyed back in time to some of Peter’s earliest memories about school and learning math (spoiler alert- he was really good in math) and how competent he was at thinking like a mathematician from the get go. We also dove into summative and formative evaluation, how to facilitate a thinking classroom, with a few fun stories woven in. It was a pleasure talking with Peter and a solid listen. Hope to inspire you!
